Wedding Crasher |
Marriage Fair will take place Saturday, August 23, from 12-5 pm, at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. Proceeds will benefit the Los Angeles chapter of Marriage Equality USA.
Dozens of vendors will exhibit everything same-sex couples need to have a festive, successful wedding ceremony, reception, and honeymoon. Guests at the Marriage Fair will meet caterers, florists, musicians, wedding planners, bakeries, jewelers, and a whole host of gay and gay-friendly business people there to make their day a celebration. Musicians will perform beside the dance floor, so couples will be able to practice their moves. Photographers will be offering sample photos, and we will compile an online gallery in support of Marriage Equality. We're also planning an exclusive screening of the documentary film "Married Men", which follows the lives of one couple as they share 30 committed years, culminating in the final powerful step of their legal marriage. A suggested donation of $10 at the door will go entirely to Marriage Equality USA in our continuing quest to make marriage legal for all citizens of the United States. Updates for Marriage Fair - venue location changed to Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood
The overwhelming response required us to find a bigger location to accommodate more vendors. We will also have speakers throughout the day presenting various aspects of gay marriage, and a few celebrities speaking on behalf of Marriage Equality. The website is www.marcjoseph.com/marriage.html |
