Hi! I'm currently a senior in high school and while I'm not planning to get married at the moment I am planning on getting married to my partner in the future.

My dilemma is that I am currently doing a marriage project for my senior health class and my teacher is letting us get married as long as I am able to figure out the realistic side of it. I live in NJ but New Jersey has only Civil Union. Is it possible to get married in a place like Connecticut or Massachusetts even though I live in NJ? I'm hoping any of you that are experienced can help me out. Thanks so much!

You can only get married in either of those states if your home state does not expressly prohibit it.

Hi there,
Since it sounds like your primary focus is your project, would your teacher be impressed if your paper brought forward international options? Canada is extremely gay friendly, marriages are legal, and are done quite frequently in fact.
