Wedding Crasher |
Hi everyone. My fiancee and I are planning our wedding for approximately one year from now, in Massachusetts. We live in Texas. We don't know a soul in MA so you can see our dilemma.
Further dilemmas; we will be spending so much $$$ to get there and pay for lodging (we have 3 children as well) and would like to help with the cost for some close friends and family when it comes to accommodations.... that we now have a VERY SMALL budget for the actual ceremony and reception. We are hoping to combine our wedding trip with a general vacation/educational trip since we haven't traveled much. I'm a big genealogy buff and due to family history connections I want to visit Salem, MA (an ancestor was tried as a witch), Newbury, MA (ancestor was a founder of that city), and other places I'm sure. What areas of Massachusetts are particularly known for having a lot of same sex weddings? We want to be outside, preferably in a wooded area, ideally near water but not an absolute requirement. We're planning a very simple Medieval style wedding and will have a max of 25 guests. Any ideas to help us narrow down the location would be very much appreciated! I just don't know where to start! I figured a public park would be more affordable? Also I have no clue about the weather there... our wedding would be in June most likely and my dress is going to be velvet. I don't want to be sweating but is that even an issue? Here in Texas I'd just melt completely if I tried that anytime other than January! |

I would recommend Look Memorial Park. Their location of the Willow Brook Sanctuary would be perfect. I don't know the URL, but google should be helpful. They are in Florence, MA
