Hi brides and grooms! My partner and I got engaged about 2 months ago and are planning our wedding reception for Fall of 08. We are looking to have it in Central/Northern NJ. There have got to be some New Jerseyans lurking around this forum who have advice for me! We have found a lot of beautiful reception sites, but not too many that are AFFORDABLE (you know NJ...).

The only thing we have so far is a photographer we love - but we need to book her soon and don't have a date or location!

Please help these two brides from Central NJ with some recommendations of reception halls or restaurants, florists, inexpensive musicians (maybe just a pianist?), and ideas for favors and how to get them for cheap!

(Oh, and just for those plus size brides out there, any favorite stores for getting flattering dresses that are not overly "wedding gown"-ish??)

Hi, I am also looking to have my Civil Union performed in Jersey. I am looking more towards Atlantic City ( I love to gamble) shhh....lol... anyway a dress that is not so much of a wedding gown. I found my dress on Bonny.com they have a special section for plus sizes I think it is called unforgettable... Check them out and if you still need soem help goole plus size wedding dresses and I found a lot of sites there too. Good luck.
