I am getting married in a year, and I am not sure if I should invite my mother to our wedding.

My mother is a very strict Jehova's wittness and all I want is positive energy at out wedding. I really do not want to invite my mother or any of my 4 sisters to be truthful. But etiqette and guilt tell me I should. I have tested the waters and only one sister is positive (or non caring) about my union. Mom is still in denial I am gay. Any ideas

First congratulations on your engagement. My fiance and I are in the same sitution. We are getting married next year as well and her mother is a Jehovah's Witness as well but not as strict. My mother on the other hand is a very strict Christian. We are still deciding on whether or not to tell them or even how to tell them, even though they know we are together. Let us know if you find any creative way to tell them.
