Hello,

We've just begun our plans for a wedding in Montreal, Canada. Ours will be a very small, simple and elegant wedding with about 20 of our dearest friends in October 2008. We've just begun investigating hotel properties to determine where we might have it. We were hoping to find a venue where our ceremony could be outside (weather permitting), perhaps on a rooftop garden and then step in doors for the reception. We're open to ideas, too.

We met with a wedding planner and my partner and I didn't click with her at all. We're not opposed to working with someone who can bring the details together, but since it's so small, I only think we need help with the officiant and cake.

Is there anyone who can share about their experience in Montreal? All suggestions are greatly appreciated.
