I feel like I've entered the Wedding Vortex again as we are now in the House Vortex! My partner and I are remodeling our beloved home to better suit the 21st century. It's an exhausting task, but reminds me of our wedding planning as it seems like each detail is a reflection on our relationship and its expression. I'm pleased to say that we've stood the test of time so far and I can't wait to see the final result!

The funniest aspect of this is that I can't wait for our new kitchen. We've added some really wonderful details and now I'm thinking about cookbooks and finding new recipes to share with friends. This is a whole new development since usually I just "do my thing" on the grill.

So, to celebrate this new culinary urge I've found, does anyone have some favorite recipes to share?

That's a great idea to share favorite recipes and I have lots to share. One of my favorite salad recipes is Cabbage Salad. For making this, mix sugar, salt, pepper, vinegar, oil and one package of seasoning from chicken flavor noodles. Bake slivered almonds at 350 for 10 minutes. Chop cabbage and onions. Break noodles & toss together. Combine almond, cabbage, onions, and noodles. Toss together. Shake dressing in small jar and pour over salad just before serving.
One more favorite recipe of mine in salad section is Pea Salad for which in a bowl add drained peas, chopped eggs and onion. Gently stir in mayonnaise. If you like, you can reserve 1 egg, slice and decorate the top of the salad.
