Gina and I decided together that we wanted to get married and I was not expecting a formal "proposal."

But, she is an Italian girl at heart, and the woman can romance with the best of 'em (she thinks it's fun). So, she took me away for the weekend and created a perfect fairytale proposal scenario, with all kinds of beautiful details -- flowers all over our hotel room and a bottle of 1996 Dom Perignon champagne, and spa treatments and a spectacular ring. I mean, imagine the waterworks when she presented me with this beautiful diamond ring that she had designed in secret and it was the most perfect thing I could imagine.

Basically, the formal proposal one of the most romantic experiences of my life and I loved every minute even though we were already planning on getting married.

Sadly, the women who could really benefit from having this information are not the ones who are most likely to be surfing this site. I liked making a big proposal for J. We went up to the Highlands Inn in New Hampshire and I had hidden 20 bouquets of flowers in the trunk (with all of the freezer packs we own to keep them cold), kept them in the fridge at the B&B overnight, and staged the proposal in the morning. I left the room ahead of her with a bouquet outside the door so she would see it when she opened it, and then a trail of bouquets through the trails through the woods behind the inn (one at each fork to show the way), with each line of my proposal written on a note in each one. When she got to the end (back at the room), I had the last bouquet, the last line (big question) and her ring. She loves surprises and flowers, so it worked out quite nicely! I had a ton of fun with my proposal and the whole weekend was lovely.

Wow those are just perfect each one.
Mine was the most amazing as well ( cuz ya know it was mine hee hee) It was Valentine's weekend I took the day off. Had a Suite @ the AmericInn. Tried to get Gramma to watch the baby but things kept happing all bad. It was feeling pretty glum but we had to deal. We set up his playpen to sleep in in the cubby by the bathroom and he was asleep by 10. We had the night alone Jacuzzi, flowerpetals EVERYWHERE! Near the Jaccuzi was a bottle with a note in it and I thought it was part of the room. But I kept looking and I read the note and it asked me to marry her. I was in tears it was so perfect. I got my gorgeous ring and cried MORE! Even though we had so many obsticles that day it still came together beautifuly and I will remember it always!! I could explain so much more but I think you get the idea!!!
