Wedding Crasher |
I am going to propose to my partner shortly. I am very excited and cant wait to spend the rest of my life with him. My question is that I really want to go a little non-traditional with the engagement gift. First off I cant really afford an engagement ring, plus it is going to be a long engagement so there is time for that (I will be waiting for him to finish college before the actual wedding), so are there any things we can do that is a little different but would still have the same meaning as an engagement ring?

Anthony,
Unless your beau lives by the credo "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend", then simple engagement rings can be inexpensive and beautiful. Remember, it's really the thought that counts! I had designed an engagement ring for William and then found a very similar piece available on ebay for a small fraction of the cost! (Since William loves the whole "skull-and-crossbone" thing, I had a two-piece "puzzle" ring designed ... a simple band with a small emblem cut out of the middle.) If you would like any one-on-one help, send me an e-mail at JoshuaEadsBrown@msn.com and I'll do what I can! All the Best! Joshua Eads-Brown This message has been edited. Last edited by: JoshEB, |

My fiance and I will also be having a long engagement (roughly 2 1/2 years) for the same reason. I need to graduate college. We will be wearing matching bands. I think it's a good way to go.
