I decided to have my dress made because I couldn't really find anything that I liked, and then we ended up having the same design house create Gina's suit as well. Having custom wedding attire gave us the ultimate flexibility of figuring out how we wanted to look and feel on our wedding day and we ended up looked smashing together because the designer used some of the same fabrics in both our clothes. For example, she took some of the white satin from the bodice of my dress and used it to create the piping on Gina's jacket, and the shimmery fabric on Gina's shirt appeared as a decorative detail at my waist. Although of course having our clothes made wasn't cheap, it wasn't as expensive as you might imagine either. Basically around the same cost as buying designer clothes.

What a lovely photo! Congratulations on your wedding!

I had my wedding gown custom made, but ended up having not the best experience with my dressmaker, and if I were doing it again, I would buy off-the-rack instead. I'm glad that the custom dress route was a happier one for others - your end result looks beautiful, and I especially love the motifs connecting your outfits together.

I'm having my dress made as well - and i couldn't be happier! I was really worried beginning the process that it would look..."homemade" but it is such an incredible design, that takes into account all of my attributes and easily flaunts them, while so very cleverly hiding my flaws! I think if i had to buy a wedding dress from a store (and i tried on a LOT before having my dress designed and made for me) it just wouldn't have been the same - and my dress is actually much cheaper than most that I looked at!

leather custom clothing

Hi all

I'm interested in this seamstress work and pattern maker in custom leather motorcycle jacket line. I have two brand new leather sewing machines Yuki straight stitch and Consew cylinder arm lockstitch. I live in Forest Park Illinois. I currently work part time as a seamstress for Cybex by Professional Fitness Center and do alterations and custom sewing. Many years ago I have also worked with Tailors from France, Poland and Russia manufacturing cloth for many major brand names.
